The purpose of the benevolence fund is to provide financial aid to those in urgent need. The church has the right to adjust or decline an applicant’s request and may consider providing assistance other than monetary help. Benevolence funds are granted based on the merit of the application for the purpose of meeting primary, short-term needs. These needs are defined as those necessary for physical, emotional, and spiritual survival resulting from an unforeseen disaster.
How long is the benevolence process?
Completed forms will be reviewed by the church administration. A final decision will be made within 7-14 business days of receipt of the application form.
How is the benevolence applied?
If approved, a check will be distributed directly to the vendor, business, or service provider for which the applicant owes funds and never to the applicant directly.
Is any additional information required?
At the discretion of the church administration, documentation regarding income, personal bank statements, and expenses may be requested. The church administration may request to speak directly to the vendor, business, or service provider.
